This agreement covers the terms of the deposit of your work in the WashU Research Data repository, administered by the University Libraries for scholarly, educational, and research purposes.
You hereby grant to The Washington University (WUSTL) the non-exclusive right to reproduce and publicly distribute your submission (including the metadata and abstract) worldwide, in any format or medium, in perpetuity, consistent with the University’s mission to discover and disseminate knowledge and the long term preservation of the scholarly record.
This is a non-exclusive, sub-licensable license grant, and you retain ownership of all rights to your submission (e.g., copyright), including the right to submit the work to publishers or other repositories, subject to the terms of the license you chose when you deposited the work.
You agree that WUSTL may translate the submission to any medium or format for the purpose of preservation in accordance with the Libraries' preservation policies. You also agree that WUSTL may keep more than one copy of this submission for purposes of security, back-up, and preservation. WUSTL will not make any alteration, other than as allowed by this license, to your submission.
You represent that the submission is your original work and/or you have the authority to grant this license. You represent that, to the best of your knowledge, the submission does not infringe upon anyone else's copyright. If the submission contains material for which you do not hold copyright and that exceeds fair use, you represent that you have obtained any necessary permission of the copyright holder to grant WUSTL the rights required by this license, and you have clearly identified and acknowledged such third-party material in the submission.
You represent that in preparing the data for submission, you have removed any confidential or sensitive information or personal identifiable information protected by state or federal law or by WUSTL policy.
If the submission is based upon work sponsored or supported by an agency or organization other than WUSTL, you agree that you have fulfilled any right of review or other obligations required by such contract or agreement.
WUSTL reserves the right to withdraw your submission in accordance with the Libraries' collection development policy or under extraordinary circumstances, including those related to violations of copyright law, academic fraud, or harm to our community.
