Description

In this study, I mapped clay and carbonate signatures in Oxia Planum, Mars using Compact Reconnaissance Imaging Spectrometer for Mars (CRISM) orbital data. These maps were generated using two different methods: (1) spectral parameter calculations, and (2) spectral unmixing models. The map results were used to analyze the relationship between clay and carbonate strata in Oxia Planum, with the goal of helping to understand the formation history of the region. This archive contains the spectral parameter and endmember compositional maps, the processed CRISM images that these maps were based on, and the mineral endmember spectra that were used in the unmixing models. The spectral unmixing code is also included in this archive.
