Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (MRO) hyperspectral imaging spectrometer data (CRISM), Context Imager (CTX), and HiRISE imager data were used document the formation of a new hypervelocity impact crater in Arabia Terra and to identify and map the mineralogy of its ejecta deposits. MRO derived data products produced include images spatially registered to one another over the crater and ejecta deposits, surface temperatures retrieved from the CRISM data, along with CRISM-based spectral parameters and spectra indicative of specific minerals. Laboratory data for analog materials were used to help interpret results from the CRISM-based spectral data.
